New Camera

I was raised around photography. Dad is a landscape photographer and gave me a medium format Roliflex when I was in grade school. He and I enjoyed many days together in the wilds photographing the wonders of nature. For years I photographed with a large format view camera and medium format Hasselblad. But was frustrated by the requirements of film and gave up photography for sculpting and painting.

For the past year we have used a digital point and shoot camera to capture the photos for our blog. Because we are now heading into some of the most beautiful country the west has to offer, I decided to purchase a new Digital Single Lens Reflex (DSLR) camera to have more control over the quality of the final photographs.

I will be attending a Santa Fe Workshop on the digital darkroom in the coming weeks. I hope you enjoy my efforts. -L
