417 Union Restaurant

We first visited the Tennessee State Museum exhibit of Jack Stoddart's black and white documentary style photography of rural life in the Tennessee mountains, titled "Hippies, Hill People & Other Southern Marvels." The silver prints capture the rural mountain lifestyle that is passing away with development.

Then we walked to 417 Union for dinner. It is a challenge at times to find a vegetarian meal in the heart of bar-b-que pork and baby back rib country. The resturant was a nice respite before returning to the museum for an evening of Jammin with Hippie Jack. Visit Hippie Jack for more information. -L
