The Ovens

Friday, July 30, 2010 - Tour Nova Scotia

A vist to the sea caves, called the Ovens, owned by the Tom Chapin's family (the brother of Harry Chapin) started our morning.

We had lunch along the trail over looking the caves.

We then drove to Hirtle's Beach in Kingsburg. Visited with a old friend and walked along the beach. The overcast skies and cold sea breeze shortened our stay, though many hearty tourist were happy to don bathing suits and brave the water. Drove back to Lunenburg to the Dory Shop were David Westergard is building two new schooners.
